What's With The Lying Liers?

The TRUTH

An anonymous opponent of Glenn Cook recently mailed a bright yellow postcard to Camden voters that’s packed with lies. It is deceptive at every level. The yellow-mailer sender even hid their name – so who is the secret hit team? Are they hiding their preferred candidate's lies and flaws by lying about Glenn Cook?

Lie 1:

Truth 1:

Glenn and Wendy moved to their modest Jekyll Island home in February 2019. That’s hardly recent. There have been 184 single-family home sales on Jekyll Island since they moved in.

True, 5 years is not 5 generations, but we all know that often Camden County sons are not half the man their daddies were.

Lie 2:

Truth 2:

The yellow-mailer author knows Glenn’s voting record, just like yours and mine is secret. The yellow-mailer also knows we can’t verify his yellow-claims. But keep in mind that many folks cross over in a Primary election to ensure the worst choice runs in the opposite party in the General election. That's a well-known PRIMARY voting strategy. The yellow-mailer states Primary, not General election. That's a poor attempt at deception since the Primary election can include 'strategy' when the General election indicates 'Choice'. The yellow-mailer author absolutely has no idea who Glenn, or you or I, has voted for.

Lie 3:

Truth 3:

Since the yellow-mailer used the Glynn County GIS lookup to find Cook’s home, he knows Glenn and Wendy have a modest home on an interior lot that’s more than two miles (actually 11,867 feet) from the nearest “sandy beach”. And Wow! What beautiful Live Oak trees! My daughter is hoping to be successful enough to buy a beach home - we can't wait to have to wash the sand from our flip-flops when we visit! Glenn and Wendy learned what Camden voters want by meeting thousands of them one-on-one when visiting their homes. He knows Camden Values better than the yellow-flyer sender. Like every good American, we despise deceit.

Lie 4:

Truth 4:

Just to show the careless deceit of the yellow-mailer’s sender, the reference(3) to Atlanta’s crime has a footnote pointing to Glynn County Property Search. DUH! Glenn retired as a Delta pilot flying 777s based in Atlanta. Many of us left big cities when we retired. Atlanta's crime problem is not because of retired Delta pilots. Neither is Camden's.

And we'll bet the yellow-lies sender doesn’t know that Saint Marys residents like Steven Sainz have a combined property tax millage rate (35.485 mils) that's higher than what Glenn pays on Jekyll Island (31.106 mils)!

Lie 5:

Truth 5:

“Those Jekyll Island Gates” are less secure and less exclusive than any Camden County gated community where it takes a community-issued passcode or ID to enter. At Jekyll Island, all it takes to enter is to pay a State Parking Fee or rent a motel room. And they don't ask about your political affiliation before they take your money.

So someone who supports another candidate paid for a pack of lies about Conservative, Navy carrier pilot, Delta Captain Glenn Cook who has helped raise millions of dollars to conserve native Georgia Coastal Birds while living in a modest home located miles from the nearest Jekyll Island Beach.

Picking the true Conservative who has demonstrated exceptional intelligence, high-level skills and accomplishments, unquestioned commitment to American values, and true responsibility is easy in the State House contest. There's no smoke and mirrors with Glenn.
