How Long Has This Roof Leaked?

Recent Georgia Open Records Request:

Camden1st:

“Can you tell me approximately when the pavilions received their metal roofs?”

Woodbine City Administrator:

“I’m not certain when the metal roofs were installed as that portion of waterfront maintenance is the responsibility of the County.”

Camden1st:

“Did the County replace the roofs, or did the PSA?”

Woodbine City Administrator:

“The County never informed us about any of the repairs so I’m not certain who may have done the work.

And it is getting uglier with every revelation.

Take a look at the current bid request for replacement of the Park Pavilion Roofs at the Satilla Waterfront Park in our County Seat. What a confusing mess! Is there a performance specification of any kind? No wonder our park roofs (and the County Admin Roof, too!) leak.

This is simply a continuation of years of mismanagement and lack of professional experience from the County Administrator on down through many levels of review in our “Award-winning” government. It should be embarrassing for every elected official that such amateurish mishandling of tax revenues (and one-time, inflationary Federal Covid ARPA funding) is permitted to continue.

And yes, the County has not been able to properly specify roofs for years. Here's the Q&A between a bidder and County Purchasing for a 2022 Bid Request:
