Camden's Issues

1

Good Jobs

All Jobs are Good Jobs. Government has no business picking winners and losers.

Spending millions to build a purely speculative, jobless spaceport endangering Cumberland Island National Seashore; misleading folks
into believing a new airport
will be entirely

"paid for by others;"
giving decades-long tax
breaks to land speculators;
and underpaying county
employees are just a few misguided "job-killing" decisions by officials.

All Jobs are Good Jobs.

2

Low Taxes

We saw the on-going scheme
in the early 2000's - government raises our property appraisals so they can take credit for "lowering" the millage rate while the tax collector takes ever more money from our pay checks and retirement income.
That system only works for the sellers and government.
The holders of properties they live in, farm, or run a business from are expected to
pay more and get less.

Taxpayers demand 100% spending transparency, timely accountability, and meaningful inclusion setting priorities.

3

Safe Community

There is simply no way Camden County can grow unless it remains safe for its residents. Yes, legal, humane law enforcement is necessary, but we must be able to count on law enforcement and emergency services to protect us at the moment they are needed.

Safe homes, safe parks,

safe roads, and safe schools

are 'job 1' for our

elected officials.
And how have we survived since 1777 without the multi-million "resiliency center" equipped with big-screen TV's, dozens of computer drops, and luxury furnishings?

4

Improve Appreciation of
NSB Kings Bay

Naval Submarine Base Kings Base employs approximately 9,000 active-duty, civilian, and contract personnel. Kings Bay salaries and operations contribute over 70%
of Camden County’s Gross Domestic Product.

NSB Kings Bay is the east coast home to the Ohio-class fleet, ballistic missile, and guided missile submarines and is the only naval base in the Atlantic fleet that is capable of supporting the Trident II missile. The new Columbia-class submarines will also call NSB Kings Bay “home” into the 2070s.

Camden County’s economy, schools, retirement community, and culture benefit greatly from the base active-duty personnel and contract workers. Camden County should regularly demonstrate its support for NSB Kings Bay.
